An unknown artist created this image in a series of paintings currently held in the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption in Marietta, Ohio. Jesus raises the daughter of Jairus, the synagogue official, when the man humbly asks for His aid. Despite the doubts of the crowd, Jesus goes and does as He is asked. The look of joyful shock and almost disbelief on the mother's face, and the surprise of those around show what wonders Jesus can work in our lives and yet how little faith we have in Him.
