These alabaster bookends feature a classic image of Jesus's Sacred Heart and Divine Mercy, as well as the famous prayer from St. Faustina's diary. Able to keep heavy books in line, they both organize and decorate your home. They make the perfect personal gift for all those who share St. Faustina's devotion to The Sacred Heart and Divine Mercy.
The bookends are made from stone-cast alabaster here in our shop in Steubenville, Ohio. Alabaster is a building and decorating material created from the mineral gypsum that has been used since the time of the ancient Egyptian Pharaohs. It boasts an attractive smooth finish.
Each measures roughly 6" x 8", including the 4"x 6" inset image plaque, and is 3" deep.
Text reads:
"Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself."
