This reproduction of "The Dream of Pilate's Wife" shows her waking up in the middle of the night with a splitting headache. An angel is pointing over to the right side of the image, the content of her dream, showing Christ, and the crowds of Jews staring at her. It is as if both sides are battling for their alliance with her.

The artist, Alphonse Francois (1814-1888) was a French engraver who was known for his reproductions of masterpieces. This particular piece is after the style of Gustave Dore, a famous bible illustrator.

This image comes as a high-quality art print with a white border.
