The classic image of Jesus's Divine Mercy and famous prayer from St. Faustina's diary adorn these bookends. Able to keep heavy books in line, they both organize and decorate your home, making the perfect personal gift for all those who share St. Faustina's devotion to Divine Mercy.
The bookends are made from stone-cast alabaster here in our shop in Steubenville, Ohio. Alabaster is a building and decorating material created from the mineral gypsum that has been used since the time of the ancient Egyptian Pharaohs. It boasts an attractive smooth finish.
Each measures roughly 6" x 8", including the 4"x 6" inset image plaque, and is 3" deep.
Text reads:
"Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself." - St. Faustina's Diary, 950
