Two sisters from a small town in rural South Georgia, Janet Sexton and Sharanda Hurst, had a small dream which quickly became an enormous, succesful reality in Steel Southern Designs. Born out of a desire to spend more time with their small children and families, the business sprang up in their own backyard after much prayer and soul-searching. It is with this prayerful, family-focused mentality that the sisters lovingly handcrafted their pieces for over ten years, and when they decided to sell the company in 2023, the task of carrying on their mission was entrusted to Nelson Gifts.

All of our door hangers and yard stakes are made with 1/8" thick aluminum composite sign material, which is widely used in the commercial sign industry. Each design is printed with UV- and weather-resistant paint to provide you with a full color image that prevents fading and scratching for years to come!
