This rustic wood plaque features Christ Giving the Keys to St. Peter by Peter Paul Rubens.
Peter Paul Rubens was a Flemish painter who was known for his astounding vitality infused into a powerful and exuberant style that came to epitomize the Baroque art of the 17th century. He was one of the most productive of all Western artists, becoming the master of the greatest studio organization in Europe since Raphael. In the image, Jesus Christ is handing St. Peter - who is kissing the Christ's hand - the Keys to Heaven. The two are surrounded by two lambs on the right and 3 apostles on the left.
Our Rustic Wood Plaques are designed, printed and stained to give a rustic, weathered look. They are constructed from a wood composite in our shop in Steubenville, Ohio. All sizes are printed on a single board, however larger sizes are printed to look like slats.
