This icon plaque, the Madonna and Child by Guariento di Arpo, comes from the Cloister Collection, Nelson Gift Wholesale's exclusive line of wood slab icons.

The image shows Mary in pink and Jesus in a blue, white, and orange striped cloth. Jesus has His hand held up in blessing. It was painted by Guariento di Arpo in the 1300's in Padua, and is currently on display in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
