This Note Card, "The Redeemer", shows the six days of creation in the center of the garden of Eden. Adam is in the upper right smelling a white flower representing obedience; he does not choose this flower but instead falls to the deceits of the red man, Satan. Christ is seen at the bottom, in resplendent light, doing battle with Satan. This was drawn in St. Hildegard von Bingen's work "Scivias", the first of three books chronicling her visions. 

St. Hildegard von Bingen is a Doctor of the Church from the 11th century. She was a Benedictine mystic, theologian, philosopher, musician, poet, artist, natural scientist, and pharmacist and is considered the founder of scientific natural history in Germany.
